Privacy Policy — Clinic Hours Tracker

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

Clinic Hours Tracker is a Chrome extension that calculates open patient hours from your Google Calendar. This policy explains what data is accessed and how it is handled.

Data We Access

This extension requests read-only access to your Google Calendar in order to retrieve calendar event times. It accesses only event start and end times from the calendars you specify by name. It does not read event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other event details.

Data Storage & Sharing

The extension stores only your calendar name preferences and weekly hour target using Chrome's built-in storage. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data with third parties. All calendar processing happens locally within your browser.

Data Protection & Security Mechanisms

All data transmission between Clinic Hours Tracker and Google's APIs occurs exclusively over secure, encrypted HTTPS connections. Any locally stored user preferences (such as target hours and calendar names) are secured within Chrome's sandboxed, local storage environment. Because the extension processes all calendar data entirely on your local device and never transmits, stores, or routes sensitive user data through external or third-party servers, the risk of data exposure is inherently minimized.

Google OAuth & Limited Use

This extension uses Google OAuth solely to authenticate your identity and access your Google Calendar with read-only permission. We do not store your Google credentials. Clinic Hours Tracker's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
